Over the winter, Masonry Cosmetics, Inc. attended both the Hardscape Show in Atlanta, Georgia, as well as the Carolina Brick Forum in Greensboro, North Carolina. Not only did we have the chance to meet some of our old friends at these events, but we made some new relationships as well. At the Atlanta Hardscape Show, we had the opportunity to showcase our new Do-It-Yourself kit, the
Stainman’s Color Paver Starter Kit. This kit was received very well and may be our best selling kit yet! We spent hours redesigning this kit to be the most affordable, easiest-to-apply recoloring kit on the market! Orders are filling up fast and we are currently taking orders for April shipments. At the North Carolina Brick Forum, we introduced a new concept: The Brickman’s Hall of Fame. Our committee selected 4 individuals last year who were outstanding individuals to be the front-runners in this
new “Hall of Fame”.
We traveled to their location, interviewed them, and presented each of them with their own special name brick, showing our appreciation for a lifetime of service in the brick industry. Then, we showcased their interviews at the Forum. It was amazing to see how well this project was received by the brick industry! Some people stayed in our hospitality suite for over two and half hours atching the video in its entirety! Many people requested copies of the video as well. If you would like to receive a copy of the Brickman’s Hall of Fame 2008, please contact our office and we can arrange to have a copy sent to you! During the days at the Forum, people learned interesting facts such as how and why holes are put into brick. In our hospitality suite, stories from Forum’s of the past and people who used to be in the industry went late into the night and early morning hours as the drinks and good
times continued to flow.
And of course, as in previous years, business arrangements were conducted and friendships formed that will help shape the course for the following year and for years to come. Brick recoloring and our unique recoloring process is becoming more widespread as
awareness of our product continues to grow. For those of you who missed this year’s shows, you missed out on some good times! But there is always next year…
