We have been so successful with our color correction process on vertical masonry walls that the industry has been asking us to come up with a solution for the faded concrete paver market as well. Based upon this, here is what we have done: We applied our color correction system to worn concrete pavers then we sealed them with a ProSoCo Sure Klean® Weather Seal Siloxane WB Concentrate at a 10:1 ratio. We sent them off to AMT Laboratories for a 5 year weather simulation. After 4000 hours, there were no significant changes in appearance to the surface color. This opens up huge possibilities.
But don’t take our word for it...see for yourself. Take a look at our before and after pictures of a job we did in Columbus, Ohio. (shown below)

I’ve traveled the nation to meet with manufacturers and distributors to promote our recoloring process. Everywhere I go, at least one person blurts out, “I don’t want my masonry painted!” or “I don’t like that sheen look after you’ve stained it”. Some even say, “I’ve seen you guys spray that stain on walls.” This response tells me that we as a company have not done a decent job of educating the marketplace on our recoloring methods. Therefore, I will try to briefly sum up what our color correction process is all about.
Our patented recoloring process is applied to masonry walls using a paint brush...however, it is not a paint or a traditional masonry
stain. The brush is simply a carrier to transport our solution into (not on) the masonry unit. Like a car transports you to your
destination and drops you off at work, our solution gets “dropped off” from the brush and is absorbed into the masonry leaving virtually no trace of color altering.
You will not see any shine or glossy coating commonly associated with masonry paints because our process is not a paint. It
is a water based 80-100 mesh powder solution that actually binds with the masonry and becomes a part of it. Even on wet walls you
cannot tell where our process has been applied! And unlike painting, the masonry units remain totally breathable. As long as the
masonry has not been sealed and there is absorption, our color will become part of the masonry. Many times the question
comes up about a warranty. Because the life of our color correction system has exceeded all past research and experience, we hesitate to associate this system with any time frame.
However, we have decided to offer a 40 year warranty of our color correction process. We use 40 years because we show testing from
PROSOCO laboratories that we surpass forty years with no sign of failure.
Last year we launched our Certified Contractor Systems where masons, contractors, and manufactures can color correct masonry on a large scale (similar to what we have been doing for nearly 20 years). As a result, we now have in place Masonry Cosmetics’ Certified Contractors who can assist us outside our normal territory to handle your complaint jobs in a timely manner.
Please take a look at our territory map of the United States. The color red indicates where Masonry Cosmetics’ full-service technicians handle the majority of color match problems (although we can and do travel outside this area). The color green represents areas where our technicians color correct masonry as well as where we have Certified Contractors in place to handle our work overflow.
The color blue is where we have Certified Contractors ready to assist you in any match work you may need (continue to contact Masonry Cosmetics as you already do when you have a problem and we will notify a contractor in your area). Finally, the color yellow represents where Certified Contractors are pending.
“We believe this is the best way to meet the on growing demands of an ever-changing market.”
